Hey ladies, this one’s for Hugh. Actor Hugh Jackman, 40, standing 6 feet, 2 inches and armed with the ability to act, sing, dance and take off his shirt in an instant, has been named People mag’s 2008 Sexiest Man Alive.

The star of the epic “Australia,” hitting big screens stateside on Nov. 26, tops the list that derails 2007 glamour boy Matt Damon and features “129 smokin’ hot guys.”

The spicy Aussie dishes: “When I was younger, I had chicken legs. My nickname was Sticks,” Jackman explains. OK, best feature? “My smile. Lately my pecs. I’m being honest!”

First runner-up is James Bond superstar Daniel Craig, with Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”), Zac Efron (“High School Musical 3”), and Robert Buckley of “Lipstick Jungle” fame rounding out the top five. Launched in 1985 with Mel Gibson winning the honor, People’s Sexiest Man Alive issue will be on newsstands Friday.
