A judge in Texas has ordered the father of actress and singer Hilary Duff to spend 10 days in jail for contempt of court.
Bob Duff was led away in handcuffs Wednesday during a court hearing after Judge Thomas Stansbury in Houston determined he violated an injunction against selling assets without court approval.
The Houston Chronicle reported in its online edition that Bob Duff must pay into a court repository $367,537 he earned from selling stocks last month.
Bob Duff's attorney Robert Piro said his client would post bond and file an appeal.

ACTOR David Duchovny, star of TV shows Californication and The X Files, has checked into rehab for treatment for his sex addiction.
In a statement from his lawyer Stanton Stein, the actor said he did so voluntarily, the Associated Press reported.
"I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family," Duchovny said.
Duchovny, 48, plays a sex-obsessed character on the TV series Californication, which earned Emmy nominations for casting and cinematography.

"Fool's Gold" star Kate Hudson has been sued by a firm that says hair care products she developed with hair stylist-to-the-stars David Babaii are based on ideas for using volcanic ash that the firm developed.
But Hudson, 29, and Babaii on Tuesday said through representatives the lawsuit, which was filed by a California corporation called 220 Laboratories Inc, is "without merit."
Hudson and Babaii are partners in the company David Babaii for WildAid, a hair care products company that donates 10 percent of profits to WildAid, a wildlife conservation group.

Hayden Panettiere has broken her silence about her dad's arrest for spousal assault, saying it was "blown way out of proportion."
Alan Panettiere - who was arrested and charged with domestic violence on August 10 - allegedly struck his wife Lesley, Hayden's mother, "two or three times" in the face during an argument, but Hayden claims it was nothing serious.
